Home of ʻIolani Boys XC

Congratulations to our boys for a great meet this past weekend at Kamehameha Schools. The coaches intentionally put many of the runners in unfamiliar races, and the boys responded with composure and fortitude. As a result of "running up", we saw a lot of breakout races! Results here

Thank you to Elizabeth Watanabe (Kevin c/o 2022) for allowing the boys to sell water & fruit cups at her booth at the Rice Festival this past Saturday at Ward Village. It was a great fundraising opportunity for our team! Also thanks to the coaches for helping with the Homecoming game parking on Friday, as well as all the boys who stayed after the game to help break down and cleanup the football game; we definitely put our numbers to good use!

This Saturday's ILH meet is at Kapolei Regional Park. Please refer to the schedule for meet timeline & course map. We will meet under the big tree in the middle of the park, overlooking the starting line & a great spot to spectate upon the back of the course as well. Look for the IXC tents & flags. Expect parking to be limited; it just wouldn't be a cross country meet if parking isn't an issue. There is another smaller parking lot at the top of the park by the skate park.

This is a fast all grass course, and results from this meet will help the coaches determine the entries for next weekend's 9th-12th HPU Invitational at Kahuku Golf Course.

Looking Ahead

Next Saturday 9th-12th HPU Invitational at Kahuku Golf Course. That meet is limited; specific numbers TBD. The meet also conflicts with morning SAT testing. Coaches will discuss entries with the runners next week, however, any scheduled testing should be prioritized over the meet.

Next Friday is our Intermediate XC Invitational at Kapiolani Park for 6th-8th graders. It is an exciting race for intermediate students from all over the island to compete together. Medals are made in-house in the iLab. Students: Please check in with Coach Taylor to help when you have the time.

Coach Jack is out of the country this week & returns on Saturday to Kapolei. Please email for any questions!

Thank you
